There are places you can go. Dark, damp places, where Thud is played in exchange for the local currency, or possibly certain 'favours'. But all in all it's much easier to go to a Thud event!
There have been several major Thud events but the first, on the 1st April 2002, happened at the place of creation itself in The Cunning Artificers Emporium in Wincanton, Somerset. But it didn't end there! Oh no, they tried to stop it, but to no avail! Another Discworld Event came veering out of the multiverse complete with yet another Thud tournament in tow. As the thirst for Thud grew, it was only right and proper that the Grand Gathering known as The Discworld Convention 2002 should leap into the fray by organising the first ever Thud Tournament with an international coterie of players!
