Yes Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters were done as cartoons by Cosgrove Hall and i thought they were quite good versions the Soul Music series had Christopher Lee as DEATH who later died Sad and we now have had Ian Richardson playing DEATH in the Hogfather and he has also died Sad i hope that this is not going to be a cursed position like Sherlock Holmes or Superman.

Death's face is supposed to be stuck in the one expression, I don't see how he can move his eyebrows like he does in that clip...

Nonetheless, I greatly enjoyed both Soul Music and Wyrd Systers as animated series on television, even before I had heard of Terry Pratchett or his books.

On a related note, is the Hogfather movie already released in the UK? I've heard comments that would imply that it has been released somewhere, but haven't seen it advertised by cinemas yet here in Australia (except one ad a few weeks ago, at which point I was sure it hadn't yet been released).

Re: Discworld Cartoons

hey arnold,

it was released and its debut was at christmas on skyone as 2 seperate 1hour programmes

it isnt goin to be shown in any cinemas but should be repeated on TV some time.

it isnt exactley a movie as far as cinema movies go even though it lasts a collective 2 hours,

hope this helps, if not PM me

The thing is, it lasts rather more than 2 hours total: the original airing of it was in two 2-hour slots, so once you've taken out the ad-breaks, it works out at about 3 and a half hours long. Hence why it wouldn't work in the cinema.

(I should add that both UK and US Amazon store will post things to Australia, but of course it takes a while and costs you extra. It looks like it'd be cheaper to go for the US store, if my maths is right, but you might want to check Wink).
